Principal Lawyer

I have worked exclusively with Indigenous governments and communities since 2009. Over the years, I have focused my practice on governance support under all land management and governance regimes, including the Indian Act, the Framework Agreement on First Nations Land Management (Land Codes), and Final Agreements.

I can help with government administration, reserve land management, development, on-reserve housing (rental housing and private home ownership), matrimonial real property, citizenship and membership, elections, and regulating business.

I am committed to delivering creative, practical and implementable legal tools and solutions. My graduate diploma in legislative drafting provides me the same formal training as lawyers who draft federal, provincial and territorial legislation. It is important to me that Indigenous governments have access to the same level of skill and professionalism as other levels of government.

I am a member of the British Columbia and Yukon law societies and work for clients across Canada.
